Cancer symptoms and screening – North Central London CCG

13 February 2023

North Central London CCG would like to reassure you that if you are worried about any unusual symptoms you may be experiencing that could be cancer, the NHS is open for you so please do not hesitate to contact your doctor.

You may be offered a telephone or video consultation instead of a face-to-face one, and you will only be asked to come to your GP practice or go to a hospital if it is safe to do so. Chances are it is nothing serious, but finding cancer early makes it more treatable.

Testimonials from patients

Hospital

Excellent care & service. I have been a patient at this surgery since approximately 1981. Needless to say there have been many changes since then! However the excellent care & access to Doctors & services have remained the same though now aided & abetted by technology & a much expanded practice. I felt compelled to write a review (my first) as what I have come to expect as standard everywhere, I find after discussions with family & friends this certainly is not always the case. I can get through on the telephone, I can see a Doctor on the same day if I need to, a Doctor will speak with me on the telephone if necessary & with some forethought & planning by myself I can see a Doctor of my choice. My children & grandchildren have all been patients & the continuity of us generally seeing the same Doctor has for us certainly made it a family practice. The Reception staff are helpful & obliging & there seems to be many other services available which I have fortunately not often needed. Sadly some Doctors have taken their well earned retirement. However, it seems those who replace them are imbued with the same ethos. In the light of the NHS being as stretched as it is, I think I am extremely fortunate to have access to such a practice, as what I have been considering as standard practice is, I think, possibly unique. So thank you.

ThumbsUp

Doctors - Receptionist and Practice Nurse - A Great Team. We have been registered, and attending The Clinic for almost two years as we had to find a new clinic after our Holly Park Clinic N11 Closed down in January 2018. We class The Clinic as a Wonderful surgery housing extremely helpful staff from the front desk Reception team, to a team of almost six doctors and onsite Practice nurse. We have been served very well throughout, and compliment the practice management team for their services and great professionalism. As an individual, I think people seem to forget the NHS is a FREE healthcare service which is often under a tremendous amount of pressure, but I can proudly say that its doing its best to deliver. With the current Covid19 situation, everyone is under a lot of pressure but we believe that The Clinic is doing a fantastic job in serving its patients so well done to everyone and one again to our Amazing NHS.

Heart

I have been with the practice over 40 years and have been very happy with level of care and attitude of the staff in all that time. If pushed I would suggest that an area of improvement would be for the practice to reach out to patients more....for eg allow me to see test results on line by logging into their web site or to alert me to the need for a new blood test as my prescription is due for renewal.
